For fire, flood, or a gas smell, call 911. Porchlight cannot send a truck or an ambulance.

What this site is

Porchlight is free for seniors, disabled seniors, homeowners, caregivers, and neighbors. No one pays to find help, request help, or call a vendor.

Porchlight is a community directory, not a contractor or service provider. Homeowners should independently verify licensing, insurance, pricing, and other credentials before hiring a provider.

A listing is not a Porchlight guarantee. We do not license, bond, or insure the shops. Agree on the price before work begins. Get it in writing if you can.

Porchlight connects neighbors with local providers. Services and payments are arranged directly with the provider.

Programs and other websites

County, city, and national numbers (Social Security, Medicare, 211, 988, and others) belong to those offices. Hours and rules change. Call them to confirm before you drive over.

Neighbor notes and photos

Notes are public opinions, not investigations. Be fair. No threats, no slurs, no medical gossip. Porchlight admin may remove a note or photo.
