What we do not collect

You do not need a password. Do not type a Social Security number, Medicare number, bank password, or debit-card PIN into this site. We do not ask for those.

We do not sell names, phone numbers, or job details to marketers.

What stays on this phone

Your town, large-type setting, and saved list stay on this device so the next visit is easier. Clearing the browser can erase them.

What you choose to post

A job post or a neighbor note is public on this site. Use a first name or “a neighbor.” Do not post a home address, a gate code, or another person’s private number unless they asked you to.

Vendor photos, logos, emails, and license notes are shown so neighbors can recognize a shop. Porchlight admin may edit or remove a listing or photo that is wrong or unkind.

How we know the site is used

Porchlight counts simple events — a search, a Call tap, a job posted — so admin can see if the resource is helping. Those counts do not store your name.

Other websites

Call buttons open your phone. Website buttons open that business or agency. The radio player is Spirit and Soul Radio, R&B community radio. It plays inside this page and does not start until you press Play.

This site is hosted as a published web app. Hosting staff can see the same kind of technical logs most websites keep.

Payments

This site does not take a card payment, send a receipt, or store a bank account. Listing is free. A contribution preference is not a charge. If a payment app is used later, that app’s own rules apply. This notice does not say those payments are secure.

Want something taken down?

On Neighbor notes, write REMOVE and which words or photo you mean. Porchlight admin reviews the site. If you need a person to help you do that, call 211.
